  • Health Information: We use verified sexual health data (such as STD testing status) stored securely on our backend but do not store or display raw test results on the app. This data is used solely to filter compatibility criteria.

  • Bluetooth Data: During in-person compatibility tests, limited data necessary to perform compatibility checks is exchanged securely between devices via Bluetooth. No raw health data is transmitted or displayed during this process.

  • Usage Data: We collect data regarding your interactions with the app, such as app usage, settings, and preferences, to improve our service.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide compatibility testing based on sexual preferences and verified health information.

  • To ensure secure and private proximity-based interaction between users.

  • To improve and personalize your experience within the app.

  • To communicate with you regarding account-related notices and updates.

  • We implement industry-standard encryption and security protocols to protect your data both in transit and at rest.

  • Sensitive health data is stored securely and is never shared with other users or third parties outside our trusted service providers.

  • Bluetooth exchanges are limited to encrypted compatibility status data only.

MatchMates is intended for users aged [18/21] and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under this age.
